Jazz Catholic, or Catholic Jazz

I've always loved jazz music ever since my dad introduced it into our home when I was young. Most of my family are Catholic, and my uncle brought me to St John Vianney in Kailua to play guitar in choir. Though I was taught jazz didn't belong in Mass, I wonder how much seeps in through musical influences.

How many Catholic musicians get inspiration from jazz? What influence does jazz have on contemporary Catholic music?

Something to think about. http://www.catholicvote.org/discuss/index.php?p=19405

How Precious A Child

A beautiful story is told by a blogger at Beyond Pale about how the meeting of John McCain and Sarah Palin at a campaign rally has affected her family. Now this is experience that a lot of real people can relate to.
