Mercury and Childhood Vaccines
Thimerosal is a mercury-based additive that has been used to preserve certain childhood vaccines. There are controversies regarding thimerosal's supposed link to autism when infants and small children are immunized with vaccines containing thimerosal. While FDA studies don't point to a positive link, the new immunizations now being manufactured are thimerosal-free.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported its concerns about Mercury and Vaccines. In July 1999, Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure. I sense the chemical wasn't completely safe to begin with.
Is there a cover-up? Is there a conspiracy involving pharmaceutical manufacturers (i.e., drug companies) and the media to keep this from being publicized? Much of the TV and radio programming that is broadcast on our airwaves is supported and financed by advertisements for drugs.
People are afraid of what they don't understand. There must be a lot more to this story I'm sure will eventually be revealed. No doubt more light will be shed on the causes autism in our children.
